The Jumping Place
We made our first tandem skydive in 2006 and have been serving the Savannah, Jacksonville area ever since.
Our first event was in Fernandina Beach, and shortly after we moved a few miles north to St. Mary's Georgia.
Even in the largest recession in the last 70 years our business has been expanding to serve a wider base and larger amount of skydivers. The Packing Place
Pack 'n' Cathy started The Packing Place in 1989 five years after her first skydive at Top of Tampa Skydiving Club. She has been a rigger since in 1991 and has furthered her skydiving and aviation education thoroughly since then.
Cathy is now an AFF instructor, a Master rigger (Back, Seat, and Chest), as well as a commercial Pilot. She founded the business because as a single mom she still wanted to interact and have time to be with her children.
The Packing Place has worked as the official packing service for four US dropzones and worked in 32 states, as well as in four countries. Cathy created a job where before there was none and improved skydiving with her "Guarantee" and emphasis on the customer. |
